We are so pleased to announce that the John H. Lamensdorf Memorial Trust will be helping to sponsor “Lunar Energy,” a New York based company of theater artists dedicated to ” transformation and reimagination.”  “By playing with perspective and context, we aim to discover and illuminate what is fresh, provoking and unexpected in familiar, everyday stories.”  This summer, Before Placing Me On Your Shelf, their original adaptation of poems by the Pulitzer winning American poet James Tate, will be performed as part of the 15th annual New York International Fringe Festivel in August 2011.  Congrats to Co-Founders Philip Gates and Katherine Sherman and General Manager Theo Salter!

Thanks Again

John H. Lamensdorf Day at Booker High School

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

We had a great time at Booker High on Monday, May 23, 2011 to celebrate “John H. Lamensdorf Day.”  The guitar students played three songs and were terrific!  So much poise and improvement from just a few months ago.  Some of the guitar students will participate in a summer convention in Georgia due to the support of John’s trust. Enjoy!!

The film students filmed a very touching “thank you” video – we will upload photos and the video this week.

Just wonderful to see (and hear) the fruits of our labor in honor of John.

The John H. Lamensdorf memorial t shirt is now available at CLOTHESLINE in the Burns Court area of Sarasota, FL.!  Austin Kowal, proprietor, is a vibrant member of Sarasota’s  young art scene and his eclectic store showcases the art (across venues) of many local artists.  We have sold 623 t shirts to date (!) – way beyond our initial goal – and are so appreciative that Austin is including the shirt in his unique and ever-evolving shop. We’re working on our next design!
